Concrete Foundations & Footings
Build on a solid foundation that keeps your structure safe and stable for decades.

Why Foundations Matter
Your foundation is the most important part of any structure. It supports the entire weight of your building and transfers that load safely into the ground. A weak or poorly built foundation leads to cracks, settling, structural damage, and expensive repairs down the road.
We pour concrete foundations and footings for room additions, garages, sheds, retaining walls, fences, and other structures throughout Buena Park. Whether you are building something new or replacing a failing foundation, we follow engineering specifications and local building codes to make sure your project is built to last. Our team understands soil conditions, load requirements, and proper reinforcement techniques that keep your concrete work stable for the long term.
Foundation and Footing Services
Different projects need different foundation types. Here is what we build:
- •Slab foundations: A single thick slab that serves as both the foundation and the floor for sheds, garages, and small additions.
- •Stem wall foundations: A perimeter foundation with a raised wall that sits on a footing below ground level.
- •Strip footings: Continuous footings under walls to distribute weight evenly.
- •Pad footings: Individual concrete pads under posts or columns.
- •Grade beams: Reinforced beams that span between footings to support walls.
- •Footing extensions: Additions to existing foundations for room expansions or structural modifications.
How We Build Foundations
Foundation work starts with understanding the soil and the load requirements. We check local soil reports and follow the engineering plans or building code requirements for your project. Then we excavate to the required depth, making sure the bottom of the trench is level and compacted.
Next, we build forms to the correct dimensions and set rebar according to the structural plans. Foundations need heavy reinforcement because they carry so much weight. We inspect everything before the pour to make sure it meets code.
After pouring the concrete, we vibrate it to remove air pockets and make sure it fills completely around the rebar. Then we level the top surface and let it cure properly. Most foundation work requires an inspection from the city before you can continue building, and we coordinate that for you.
Built for Southern California Conditions
Buena Park sits in an earthquake zone, which means foundations need to meet seismic requirements. This usually involves extra rebar, anchor bolts, and hold-downs that connect the foundation to the structure above. We follow current seismic codes to make sure your foundation can handle ground movement without failing.
We also deal with expansive clay soils in some areas. These soils swell when wet and shrink when dry, which can put pressure on foundations and cause cracking. When needed, we recommend deeper footings or special base preparation to handle soil movement. Our experience with local conditions means your foundation gets built right the first time.
